STC Smartpur is a collaborative initiative between Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF) and STC (a leading ICT service provider) aimed at developing "smart villages" in India. This particular film documented the work done in the city of Nashik. It had to be shot in the gloomy month of July, and since the film was supposed to be situated mostly outdoors, the visual treatment is appropriately soft and cold - to make it feel realistic and rooted as in a village during monsoon.
